Latitudes is a British post-metal band that has put out two albums so far. I’m really enjoying their 2009 release, Agonist, in part due to its beautiful cover art. They might be a metal band, but I find their music has a sort of peaceful quality because they more often seem to focus on melodic ideas rather than cacophony, like Pelican and Mastodon have done. Very occassionally clean vocals pop up and add to the record’s ethereal atmosphere.
