Any band would be lucky to have Christine Perfect as their vocalist. Some bands were, like Chicken Shack and Fleetwood Mac (who she married into, changing her name to Christine McVie… Seems like a bit of a downgrade to me.)
Chicken Shack - When The Train Comes Back
Chicken Shack was the psychedelic blues/rock band that lost Christine Perfect to Fleetwood Mac. You have to wonder which band would have become popular if she’d stuck with Chicken Shack. To be fair, this band sounds a lot like early Fleetwood Mac (which is to say they play awesome British blues) and they probably wouldn’t have let her drive their sound toward pop music anyway. It’s just too bad that she bowed out after this debut album and didn’t stick around for the band’s creative peak.
