While on the subject of occult music, here’s probably the best Satan conjuring song I’ve got.
One of my favourite British progressive rock acts from the 70s is Black Widow. The band is probably best remembered for their insane live acts in which they performed things like mock-sacrifices of nude women. That’s not to say that their occultism was entirely for shock value; they were also known to be involved with Alex Sanders, the ‘King of Witches.’
Hail Satan!
Here’s one of the more obviously occult-inspired songs from Black Widow. It’s off their 1970 album, Sacrifice. If you want to look into more early occult-inspired psychedelic and progressive rock, I’ve got a few other bands posted under this blog’s occult tag.
One of my favourite British progressive rock acts from the 70s is Black Widow. Maybe it’s that I spent a good part of my teens as a devout metal-head, but occult themes in music almost always peak my interest. Their 1972 album, III, strayed a bit from the darker themes of their earlier albums, but I think it’s their most musically accomplished record.
