Zerfas - You Never Win
Had to take a break from watching The Boat that Rocked to listen to my own music and blog and whine about the slow death of radio. And I just realized that I’ve never posted Zerfas to Tumblr before, so that has to happen. They were an American psychedelic rock band that put out this one masterpiece in 1973. There are so many great songs on this record that this choice was hard, but the opening track has incredible organ parts, the band trying to use what they had at hand to approximate synthesisers they didn’t yet have. Everyone has to hear it!
