Astra - The Black Chord

Astra put out a new record this year, and it’s been providing the soundtrack to my school readings this week. Where other modern progressive rock bands have strayed into metal territory, these guys have stayed true to their keyboard-focussed approach in laying out both atmosphere and fun solos/fills. I’m posting the album’s 15-minute long title track so that you, if you’re interested and have the time to be enveloped by an epic, can jump right into the deep-end of this new and exciting example of modern progressive rock.
