For some reason I’ve never posted from Lucifer’s Friend’s 1972 record, a great and driving progressive rock album that preceded their jazz horns focus, playing more in the vein of Uriah Heep. Makes sense since John Lawton, this band’s singer, sang for them during the late 70s.This album saw the piano displace some of the heavy riffing guitar that was central to their debut, but they still retain a bit of their proto-metal edge.
