The Derek Trucks Band - 555 Lake
I’ve known about Derek Trucks for a long time because he’s been in the Allman Brothers Band for like a decade and Eric Clapton has had him there at the Crossroads concerts and whatnot, but I’d never thought to look him up as a solo artist. It didn’t occur to me that he had his own project as his stage presence in everything I’d seen him in was non-existent and he hardly seemed like the band-leader type.
Turns out I was grossly off-base (yay!), although this particular band of his doesn’t exist any longer, Trucks merging his crumbling outfit with that of Susan Tedeschi, his wife.
