Broadcast - Dead The Long Year
Another gem from Warp Records, famously home to Boards of Canada, Grizzly Bear, Tortoise, Flying Lotus and one of the king’s himself, Brian Eno. How good is that! A fantastic debut from the wonderful Broadcast, which I fell for instantly. The album-closing track in particular stands out as some kind of Morricone/Bond Trip-Hop mash-up (woah, that actually sounds pretty cool.) Sadly, another wonderful person taken far too soon.
