Aphrodite's Child - End Of The World

I realized today that I’ve never posted from the debut album of Aphrodite’s Child, so here’s it’s title track, End of the World. It came out after they’d scored a huge hit in France with their single, Rain & Tears, which serves as a sort of subtitle on this record’s cover, for some reason. The 1968 album straddles the line between progressive and pop rock, sort of like early Pink Floyd or Procol Harum. The band really wanted to fit into the British rock scene, and had tried to travel to England but they didn’t have the right work permits and that year’s strikes in France made it hard to sort that problem out.
