Humble Pie - Stone Cold Fever

I was busy with midterms and whatnot this week, so I slacked off of my blogging duties. It’s too late to salvage True Life Hero week, but I thought I might as well post a couple highlights that would have made it into the rotation.

Humble Pie is probably best known as the band that helped launch the career of guitarist extraordinaire, Peter Frampton. They were an early 70s, hard rock band focussed on cornering the American music market using heavy blues with a smidgeon of progressive rock. Most of the band’s cover art features just bold text, but on this 1971 album, their last with Frampton, they opted for an awesome cop pyramid. It’s hard not to love it.
